‘Maximize The Pain’: Top Canadian Official Vows Brutal Tariff Response Against Americans

Ontario Premier Doug Ford on Thursday hit again at U.S. President Donald Trump’s newly-announced 25% auto tariffs with a promise to “inflict as a lot ache as doable to the American individuals with out inflicting ache on the Canadian inhabitants.”

Trump is mistaken in his perception that the transfer will drive down auto costs within the U.S., Ford informed reporters. “The prices are going to go skyrocketing” and he’s “simply hurting the American individuals,” Ford added, vowing that the nation will retaliate with tariffs designed to hit Individuals.
