They pushed for the nation to be opened as much as American banks, planes and fast-food chains. Boeing, an American aircraft producer, for instance, started receiving orders from China simply after Richard Nixon visited the nation in 1972. Now many American executives in China imagine they’re witnessing their authorities dismantle a lot of that work.
