Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas on Saturday appointed longtime aide Hussein al-Sheikh because the first-ever vp of the PLO, a place created two days prior. Seen as paving the best way for a management transition, the transfer got here amid mounting worldwide strain for the organisation to reform.
