Greater than 1.4 million Afghans have been compelled out of Iran since January amid a governmental crackdown. Elian Peltier, a global correspondent at The New York Occasions, stories from the Afghanistan-Iran border. There, he met with Afghans grappling with an unsure future, as they return to a rustic with widespread poverty and extreme restrictions on ladies’s and women’ rights.
