BARCELONA, Spain (AP) — Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has been criticized and will face an investigation for reportedly hiring individuals with dwarfism as entertainers throughout his lavish 18th party this weekend.
Spain’s Ministry of Social Rights has requested prosecutors to open a probe into the hiring and exposition of the entertainers.
Ministry director Jesús Martín Blanco advised Europa Press that such hirings “take us again to the Center Ages.”
A neighborhood affiliation for individuals with disabilities had already condemned the alleged hirings, saying it might take motion “legally and socially” towards these accountable for selling such actions.
Spanish radio station RAC1 revealed an interview with one of many entertainers who stated he was on the occasion. The person stated they had been all handled with respect. He complained concerning the response towards Yamal for hiring them.
