The UK is to rejoin the European Union’s Erasmus scholar alternate scheme, in accordance with experiences.

The favored programme allowed Britons to spend a 12 months learning at European universities as a part of their diploma, with out paying further charges, and vice versa for his or her European counterparts.

It ended for British college students after Brexit on 1 January 2021 and was replaced by the Turing scheme.

However ministers might announce the UK will rejoin Erasmus from January 2027 as quickly immediately, The Times and The Guardian have reported.

What’s the Erasmus programme?

The Lib Dems, who’ve been campaigning to rejoin Erasmus, welcomed the information.

Chief Sir Ed Davey stated: “It is a second of actual alternative and a transparent step in the direction of repairing the disastrous Conservative Brexit deal.”
