Piers Morgan has formally fallen on his personal sword, questioning why a swarm of Australian “convicts” are lining as much as gloat in his face following England’s dismal showing in the Test arena.

With England failing to safe a single victory and the Australian team already retaining the Ashes urn with a dominant 3-0 lead, the polarising media determine took to social media to vent his frustrations.

“Went to Harrods this morning and had at the least a dozen Australians come as much as me gloating about the Ashes,” Morgan posted on X.

“Have all of the convicts emigrated to Knightsbridge?”

The irony is not misplaced on cricket followers.

Previous to the beginning of the Ashes, the British broadcaster confidently declared England would win the Ashes 4-0 or 5-0.

Followers can solely think about the grin spreading throughout skipper Pat Cummins‘ face as Morgan’s pre-series bravado comes again to hang-out him.

“They’re fairly courageous from the opposite facet of the world,” the Aussie skipper advised 9’s In the present day again in October.

“No matter it’s to remain related.”

Even on the opposite facet of the world, Morgan hasn’t been in a position to escape the results of his personal commentary.

It’s simple to see why the media persona so frazzled; being cornered in London by Australian followers ready for the right second to point out their Ashes receipts.

Though Morgan conceded defeat, saying the Australian facet “hammered” their rivals, it is positive to be a troublesome capsule to swallow for England’s loudest cheerleader.

The Boxing Day take a look at will begin on December 26, with Australia naming their 15-player squad – captain Cummins and Nathan Lyon out of the line-up for replacements Jhye Richardson and Todd Murphy
