‘Sporadic shortages’ of four items on supermarket shelves as supply hit | Money News

Supermarkets are affected by sporadic shortages of some fruit and veggies as a result of unhealthy climate in Spain and Morocco.

Andrew Opie, director of meals & sustainability on the British Retail Consortium, stated: “Troublesome climate circumstances in Southern Europe and Northern Africa have impacted the harvest for some crops.

“Nevertheless, meals retailers are adept at managing disruption and can take all obligatory measures, together with sourcing from various sources, to minimise any impression on clients.”
