Nicolas Sarkozy back in court over alleged Libyan funding for 2007 presidential campaign

Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy returns to court docket on Monday to problem his conviction over allegations he sought marketing campaign funding from Muammar Gaddafi’s Libya for his 2007 election. Sarkozy, who denies wrongdoing, briefly served time final 12 months. The Paris appeals court docket retrial will run till June 3.
