Meta to drop fact-checking and switch to X-style "community notes"

Meta, the proprietor of Fb and Instagram, abruptly introduced it should eliminate impartial truth checkers and change them with a “neighborhood notes” system just like the one used on X. CEO Mark Zuckerberg mentioned there had been an excessive amount of unintended censorship.  Rights teams accused him of currying favour with the incoming Trump administration.
