The lengthy marketing campaign to outlaw TikTok in America succeeded finally when the Chinese language-owned video app was pressured to close down on January 18th. However the blackout lasted solely a matter of hours. The following day TikTok sprang again to life for its 170m American customers, issuing a message thanking an unlikely ally: Donald Trump.
