However such circumstances take years to litigate, and Amazon is more likely to discover a extra employer-friendly NLRB underneath President-elect Donald Trump.

The Teamsters additionally signify a number of thousand staff at Amazon’s JFK8 success heart in New York Metropolis, which grew to become the primary and, to this point, solely Amazon facility to unionize by means of an election. (Employees voted to affix the brand new and impartial Amazon Labor Union, which later affiliated with the Teamsters.)

Amazon has not bargained with the JFK8 union in additional than two years and continues to problem the union’s legitimacy by means of the NLRB and court docket.
