Beginning subsequent week, Apple’s new hypertension notification function might be coming to Watch Collection 9 and later and Apple Watch Extremely 2 and later with the launch of watchOS 26. That’s in keeping with an emailed assertion from Apple spokesperson Zaina Khachadourian saying the function that screens blood stress has been cleared by the FDA.
Apple’s new hypertension notifications — introduced Tuesday alongside the brand new Apple Watch SE3, Series 11, and Ultra 3 — use information from the watches’ current optical coronary heart sensor to “analyze how a person’s blood vessels reply to the beats of the guts.” An algorithm will overview this information over a 30 day interval and notify customers if it detects indicators of hypertension.
