Former President Barack Obama mourned the lack of “uncommon chief” Pope Francis in an emotional assertion on Monday, hours after the announcement of the death of the pope.
“Pope Francis was the uncommon chief who made us need to be higher individuals,” the previous president mentioned in a statement shared on X, previously Twitter.
“In his humility and his gestures without delay easy and profound — embracing the sick, ministering to the homeless, washing the ft of younger prisoners — he shook us out of our complacency and reminded us that we’re all sure by ethical obligations to God and each other,” Obama wrote, alongside a photograph of the 2 males shaking fingers and smiling at one another.
