A British man had died off the coast of Melbourne after his surfboard snapped in tough situations.

Robust winds of as much as 80mph had been reported within the state yesterday.

A 43-year-old buddy had jumped into the water to attempt to help him, however each ended up in problem.

A police helicopter winched them again to shore, however they had been unresponsive and couldn’t be revived.

Emergency providers had been known as to Frankston Seaside in Melbourne’s southeast at about 5pm native time on Wednesday.

Inspector Melissa Nixon stated the surfer had “minimal expertise”, including: “It seems he might have solely been studying to surf.

“His buddy clearly thought he was in misery and jumped in to assist him.

A police tactical operator who was concerned in rescuing each males from the ocean wanted to be handled in hospital for minor accidents following the incident.

“Don’t go swimming or browsing in situations like this once we know that it’ll be treacherous situations,” Inspector Nixon added.

“You set your self in danger. You set folks that leap in that will help you in danger. You set the emergency providers in danger.”
