Mr Musk has overseen the gutting of the FAA, America’s aviation authority and a someday impediment to his firm SpaceX, by his so-called Division of Authorities Effectivity (DOGE). What’s extra, he stands along side an American president who, in addition to having little regard for authorized strictures, explicitly endorses Mr Musk’s Martian agenda. In his inaugural handle President Donald Trump declared that it was time for Individuals to “pursue our manifest future into the celebs, launching American astronauts to plant the Stars and Stripes on the planet Mars”. This was not a one-off. He repeated the aspiration in his handle to Congress six weeks later.
