Controversial aid group starts operations in Gaza: "Not a viable solution", expert says

France 24’s Sharon Gaffney speaks to Scott Lucas, Professor on the College Faculty Dublin concerning the controversy surrounding a U.S.- and Israel-backed group tasked with delivering support to Gaza. The Gaza Humanitarian Basis says it has started its operations on Monday regardless of opposition from the UN and most humanitarian teams, in addition to the sudden resignation of its government director over the weekend. This all comes within the wake of lethal Israeli airstrikes, together with one on a faculty shelter, as Gaza’s humanitarian disaster deepens.
