An 18-year-old Temple College scholar died Tuesday after falling from a light-weight pole he climbed to have a good time the Philadelphia Eagles’ Tremendous Bowl-clinching playoff victory over the Washington Commanders.
The incident occurred as followers gathered at fifteenth and Market streets in Philadelphia on Sunday evening, an ABC affiliate reported.
Tyler Sabapathy fell backward from the pole and hit his head on the concrete sidewalk, the station reported. He was rushed to a hospital with a mind harm and died there two days later.
“The lack of a promising 18-year-old man like Tyler is each tragic and traumatic,” college president John Fry wrote in an open letter to the school. “There are not any phrases that may make sense of it, and the complete Temple group mourns his passing.”
The letter famous that Sabapathy, a local of Toronto, was a member of the gymnastics membership crew who majored in train and sports activities science. “Tyler was fascinated with harm prevention, and this in the end led him to pursue the main that he did. He little question had a vibrant future forward of him, and it’s so tragic that we won’t be able to see how he would have made his mark on the world.”
