Elon Musk says he “nonetheless can’t consider” that his “Division of Authorities Effectivity” that President-elect Donald Trump tapped him to steer earlier this month “is actual.”
The billionaire Tesla CEO was appointed by Trump to move the newly created division, also referred to as DOGE, within the politician’s second administration alongside biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy. (Ramaswamy holds shares in BuzzFeed, HuffPost’s guardian firm.)
The proposed advisory fee, which isn’t an official authorities division, has garnered combined reactions and sparked considerations about the way it will function.
In a submit shared on his social media platform, X, previously known as Twitter, on Sunday, Musk wrote, “I nonetheless can’t consider @DOGE is actual,” alongside a number of crying-laughing emojis.

Trump has described DOGE as an effort to “slash extra laws, lower wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Companies” in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social. He has not detailed how it is going to be staffed or funded.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), a loyal supporter of Trump, was lately tapped to move a new House subcommittee that may work at the side of DOGE.
