“SportsCenter” anchor Stan Verrett is saying goodbye to ESPN after 25 years, telling viewers on X Wednesday, “Our business has changed greatly since I bought in. It’s time that I modified together with it.”
Verrett has co-anchored ESPN’s 1 a.m. ET “SportsCenter” in Los Angeles since 2009, however the community is moving production to its headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut.
Verrett is not going to be making the transfer.
“My life is in Los Angeles now,” he wrote on X. “Nothing however gratitude for 25 years of dwelling a dream at ESPN. I’m not retiring. Actually excited concerning the future and a few unbelievable alternatives. Keep tuned.”
