The actress confirmed in March 2023 that she was leaving the medical drama after nearly a decade.
“After 9 seasons, I’m saying goodbye to Maggie Pierce and her Gray Sloan household,” she advised Entertainment Tonight on the time. “It has been an amazing honor to be part of such a legendary tv establishment as Gray’s Anatomy. I’ll all the time be grateful to Shonda Rhimes, Krista Vernoff and ABC for the chance, and to the unimaginable followers for his or her passionate help.”
The Citadel alum expressed her “profound gratitude” for her time on the present, sharing that enjoying the character of Maggie Pierce was “one of many true joys of my life.”
