The workaday city of Maranello, close to such architectural jewels as Bologna and Modena, shares little of their attraction. Nonetheless, its foremost attraction is a centrepiece of Italian tradition. A statue of a prancing horse on a roundabout reminds guests that that is the house of Ferrari. Italian design, exclusivity and racing heritage have made the corporate each a champion of the automotive trade and one thing altogether completely different.
