Ford, Renault team up on low-cost electric cars to counter Chinese rivals

Automotive heavyweights Renault and Ford are to hitch forces to develop a line of compact, extra inexpensive Ford-branded electrical automobiles and business vans in a bid to curb a wave of cheaper Chinese language electrical fashions gaining floor in Europe. Ford CEO Jim Farley stated in a joint assertion: “We are going to mix Renault Group’s industrial scale and EV property with Ford’s iconic design and driving dynamics to create automobiles which are enjoyable, succesful and distinctly Ford in spirit.” Additionally on this version: Microsoft pronounces $23 billion in AI investments in Asia.
