French President Emmanuel Macron invited New Caledonia leaders to talks this week on the way forward for the French abroad territory, a 12 months after lethal separatist violence within the Pacific archipelago. New Caledonian elected officers, in addition to political, financial and civil society leaders could be invited to the discussions to start out on July 2.
