Frank Gehry, who received world approval for designing a number of the world’s most imaginative buildings has died aged 96.
His triumphs included the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain; the Walt Disney Live performance Corridor in Los Angeles and Berlin’s DZ Financial institution Constructing.
Throughout his lifetime he was awarded each main prize structure, together with the sphere’s high honour, the Pritzker Prize, for what was described as “refreshingly authentic and completely American” work.
Gehry died at his residence in Santa Monica following a brief interval of respiratory sickness, Meaghan Lloyd, his chief of employees stated.
