CNN’s Jake Tapper says there’s a brand new sort of arithmetic on the town: “Trump Math.”
On Tuesday’s version of “The Lead,” Tapper took purpose at what he referred to as “the disconnection of President Trump from information and actuality,” highlighting the president’s repeated issues with basic numbers and his behavior of bending information to go well with his political wants.
“Name it Trump Math,” Tapper mentioned. “President Trump has been creating his personal equations relating to jobs numbers, ballot numbers — citing faux numbers to justify actions, and ignoring actual ones that go in opposition to his narrative.”
Tapper pointed to Trump’s controversial firing of Bureau of Labor Statistics Commissioner Erika McEntarfer as a major instance.
Trump ousted McEntarfer final week after accusing her — with out providing any proof — of manipulating job information following the discharge of a disappointing employment report.
