Day two of Australian Style Week 2025 was full of homegrown style expertise of their factor.

Main the schedule was Lee Mathews, who celebrated 25 years in enterprise with an intimate present at Sydney’s Carriageworks, whereas different favourites, together with Beare Park and NAGNATA, introduced new collections in grand and moody settings.

Elsewhere, menswear label Joseph & James successfully stole the present with its solo debut, with an exceptionally refined strategy to casualwear and a joyous color palette we haven’t stopped fascinated about.

For the complete assortment dispatches from on the bottom at AFW, learn on.

Lee Mathews

At AFW, Lee Mathews marked 25 years with a Resort ’26 assortment that was impressed by the artwork of ballet: intimate, disciplined, and softly highly effective. “There’s a rigidity I really like,” stated Mathews, referencing the distinction of energy and softness in Pina Bausch’s choreography—her level of inspiration. “That distinction of energy and softness.” That rigidity underpinned the present, the place diaphonous materials met stable and structured tailoring, corsetry traces met relaxed silhouettes, and each layer moved with a fascinating restraint.

Set towards draped calico—a uncooked canvas evoking the model’s enduring love for pure fibres—in Carriagework’s mezzanine, the runway felt deeply grounded, with fashions gliding to a René Aubry rating, composed for dance and theatre. After 20 years,  Mathews’ philosophy stays: “make good issues,” and right here, good meant clothes that reside with you—ageless, stunning and all the time helpful.

The tonal palette—stone, pores and skin, water, gentle—allowed kind and fabrication to shine. Refined stitchwork, customized materials, and Nina Walton’s rhythmic prints introduced a pure serenity to items. Behind the scenes, collaborations with artisans and heritage mills have been matched by a contemporary partnership with Delta International, underscoring Mathews’ enduring dedication to sustainability.

Group took centre stage on the present as buddies like Saskia Havekes and Alexia Spalding walked the runway, whereas Nigella Lawson, Maggie Beer and Miranda Otto watched from the entrance row. The pure, sun-kissed pores and skin look—courtesy of RATIONALE and Linda Jefferyes—mirrored the clothes’ bucolic lightness, as did the tousled hair by Kevin Murphy.

Resort ’26 is a love letter to the place Lee Mathews has been and the place it’s going: an evolving follow in considerate design and inventive integrity. At its coronary heart is the novel dedication to design that’s directly easy and vital—an artwork that lives on lengthy after the present.

Beare Park

In a darkened room pierced by a dramatic gentle on the runway, Beare Park’s AFW ’25 present unfolded with cinematic drama. The presentation, soundtracked by a haunting unique rating by Gary Sinclair of Tactile Music, marked a assured evolution for the Sydney-based label, identified for its cerebral strategy to trendy femininity. “A seamless theme with Beare Park collections from day one has been the duality of structured tailoring and fluid silk items—high-quality cloth is all the time on the centre of every assortment,” founder Gabriella Pereira tells GRAZIA. “This assortment was no exception in that sourcing materials was my place to begin, and the consideration of the intersection of intimacy and energy by means of cloth.”

This season, this consideration turned bolder, with silhouettes and cuts that laid naked the fabric, enabling clothes to shine. From precision-cut double-breasted coats and sculptural culottes to sheer slip attire and dupion silk observe shorts, there was a readability to every look that emphasised the craft behind it. The gathering’s palette—a moody mix of burgundy, mottled charcoal, deep chocolate and chartreuse—mirrored this duality of fluidity assembly stable forces.

Pereira’s partnership with Chopard added luminous punctuation: stacks of Ice Dice bracelets in moral gold and L’Heure du Diamant watches worn as jewelry gave the gathering a refined flash of heritage glamour. “Their craftsmanship and respect for kind mirrors our ethos,” Pereira famous.

The set could have been pared again—black partitions, no distractions—however there was a weight to the simplicity, a readability of intent that echoed all through the 30-look present. Styled by Nichhia Wippell, with magnificence by Emma Lewisham led by Isabella Schimid, the temper was assured, sensual, and sharply trendy.

“I consider myself as a buyer earlier than a designer,” continued Pereira. “The aim of a Beare Park garment is to be snug, practical and provides the wearer a newfound sense of energy.”
