Lithuania Shuts Border With Putin-Allied Belarus Over Smuggler Balloons

VILNIUS, Oct 27 (Reuters) – Lithuania’s Prime Minister Inga Ruginiene stated on Monday her nation will start to shoot down smuggler balloons crossing the border from Belarus, which have repeatedly interrupted the Baltic nation’s air site visitors.

Lithuania closed Vilnius Airport 4 occasions final week after balloons entered its airspace, and every time briefly shut its Belarus border crossings in response to the incidents.
