France’s abroad territory of New Caledonia is dealing with a rising disaster. The variety of healthcare staff has dropped dramatically, notably because the unrest of Might 2024. In response, authorities are providing incentives – corresponding to annual contracts and free lodging – to draw medical doctors and nurses again to the island.
