Nigerian authorities stated Sunday they’ve secured the discharge of 130 schoolchildren kidnapped from a Catholic boarding faculty in Niger state, bringing the entire freed to greater than 200 after a mass kidnapping in November. The announcement follows weeks of uncertainty over the destiny of scholars taken by gunmen, amid renewed concern over Nigeria’s worsening kidnap-for-ransom disaster.
