A current investigation by the Related Press discovered that the CIA allegedly tried to recruit the trusted pilot of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to assist overthrow him. The revelations have been printed shortly after US President Donald Trump authorised the CIA to conduct new covert operations inside Venezuela as he ramps up US exercise in Latin America.
