In October, the USA mentioned that 13 Italian pasta firms would face an additional 92% obligation – on prime of the common 15% price on most EU imports – from January 2026, accusing two producers particularly, La Molisana and Garofalo, of promoting pasta at unfairly low costs.

The remaining 11 producers, which weren’t individually examined within the assessment, face a tariff of 9.09%.
