Reform UK has denied claims of Nigel Farage breaking electoral regulation.
It follows a report in Monday’s The Each day Telegraph that Mr Farage has been referred to the police by a former member of his marketing campaign workforce over claims he falsified election bills.
The claims relate to Mr Farage’s marketing campaign in Clacton-on-Sea, the seat he gained for Reform UK within the 2024 Common Election.
In a press release, a Reform UK spokesperson stated: “These inaccurate claims come from a disgruntled former councillor… the social gathering denies breaking electoral regulation. We look ahead to clearing our title.”
In keeping with the Telegraph, the claims have been made by Richard Everett, a former Reform councillor.
It’s reported by the Telegraph that Mr Everett has submitted paperwork to the Metropolitan Police.
Mr Everett was one among 4 councillors who defected from the Conservatives to Reform UK on the eve of the 2024 Common Election marketing campaign.
Sky Information has not verified the allegations and the Metropolitan Police and the Electoral Fee are but to remark.
Each Labour and the Conservatives have referred to as for solutions from Mr Farage.
