Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.) started his bid for U.S. Senate with an embarrassing oversight this week after the title of his dwelling state of Georgia was misspelled in video shared by his marketing campaign.
In a clip shared by the “Mike Collins Conflict Room” (@TeamOverhaulGA) account on X (previously Twitter), the congressman is heard taking intention at “out of contact Democrats” within the Senate earlier than declaring that “we’ve bought to be unafraid to name balls and strikes.”
The textual content “GEORIGA, LET’S RIDE” then pops up on the display screen earlier than a brand resembling a truck — an obvious nod to the trucking firm Collins’ household owns — seems and zooms off the display screen.
The clip was posted late Sunday afternoon, a day earlier than Collins formally launched his marketing campaign via a separate video — one which precisely spells his state’s title — that he shared to his private account.
Collins, in response to a post mentioning the error, claimed that the clip was “not a marketing campaign launch video” and his marketing campaign didn’t create it.
