“Magnets, how do they work?” requested Insane Clown Posse, a hip-hop duo, of their 2009 track “Miracles”. A flurry of latest papers suggests physicists didn’t fairly have the total image both. A brand new kind of magnetic materials might, it appears, have been hiding underneath their noses.
