Virgin Media customers left without internet as provider suffers ‘intermittent issues’ | UK News

Virgin Media says it has fastened a problem that left many purchasers unable to get on-line.

The telecoms large mentioned on Monday it was conscious of “intermittent points” with its providers and apologised to clients, including it was working to resolve the difficulty as a “precedence”.

The corporate has not confirmed what has brought about the difficulty.

In a press release, the corporate mentioned: “We’re conscious that some clients are experiencing intermittent points with their providers,” a Virgin Media O2 spokesperson mentioned.

“We apologise for any inconvenience and are working to repair this as a precedence.”

In a press release in a while Monday, a Virgin Media spokesperson mentioned: “We have now now totally restored providers for all clients, following an earlier outage. We wish to apologise once more to clients who have been impacted for any inconvenience brought about.”

Many affected clients additionally took to social media to report points with their providers, with one describing the connection as “everywhere”.

One other wrote: “Why on a Monday of all days.”

A 3rd questioned whether or not the corporate would reimburse them for the cell information they’ve had to make use of in an effort to entry the web.

Virgin Media merged with O2 UK again in June 2021.

The deal concerned US media agency Liberty International, the proprietor of the Virgin Media cable TV and broadband supplier, becoming a member of forces with Spanish agency Telefonica to create a £31bn firm.

Virgin Media reported having 5.7 million broadband clients on the finish of its second quarter in 2024 – lots of whom additionally purchase cell and pay-television providers from the corporate.
