A billion years in the past, as one tectonic plate ripped other than one other, two chambers of magma have been sealed off beneath what would later grow to be Greenland. As 1000’s of years handed, the magma cooled, every layer crystallising below rarefied circumstances. In the present day the Ilimaussaq intrusion is a big fold of rock beneath Gardar, in south-west Greenland. By a stroke of luck, it’s house to 30 of the world’s most desired uncooked supplies.
